The Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) has apparently scared ruling Unity Party stalwart and Nimba Representative Worlea Sawah Dunah, and he has predicted that the most fear political party ahead of the 2017 Representatives and Presidential election that would undermine the victory of Vice President Joseph Nyumah Boakai would be the CDC and its standard-bearer and Montserrado County Senator George Manneh Weah.
Representative Worlea Sawah Dunah Profile
The Nimba Electoral District #7 lawmaker recalls that in the both the 2005 and 2011 Presidential elections, the then Congress for Democratic Change, and now Coalition for Democratic Change, fought to retain its second place. Rep. Dunah was previously a member of the New Deal Movement before jumping ship to the Unity Party.
The coalition comprises of the Congress for Democratic Change, the National Patriotic party of detained former President Charles Taylor and criminally indicted former Speaker Alex Tyler of the Liberia People Democratic Party.
Speaking to our correspondent Tuesday at his Capitol Building in Monrovia, Rep. Dunah, who serves on the national executive committee of the ruling establishment, pointed out that the Boakai/Nuquay ticket is a ticket that is set for victory, despite the CDC being a major factor.
According to him, the selection of House Speaker Emmanuel James Nuquay speaks volume of Boakai’s attempt to bringing more young people on board and giving the young people the assurance of taking over in the near future. Boakai is 74 and Nuquay is 49.
