—Breaks Ground For Correctional Facility Murryville
President George Weah’s third-leg Nation tour has landed him back in the Southeastern region. The President and his entourage are sleeping their first night in Greenville city, Sinoe County. Scores of government officials and journalists have accompanied the President.
But as the President hit the county, he wasted no time to break ground for the construction of a prison compound, what is expected to function as a correctional facility, according to county officials. The Ground Breaking took place in Murryville.
It is not clear when the main construction would begin, but Sinoe County Superintendent Nagbe Chea told journalists the prison will be a major correctional facility located in the South East.
If constructed, the prison will be second of major government prison compounds in the South East. Grand Gedeh County hosts the National Palace of Corrections, which recently received donations of several bags of rice, realm of papers, toothpaste, some cash, and other assorted items. The Human Rights Network Foundation made the donations.
