Press Release
The Former Honorary Consul of Liberia in Lagos, Chief Cliff Nzereum, earlier this week hosted a dinner in honor of Semah G. Weefur and Cultural Ambassador, Queen Juli Endee.
Chief Cliff, as he is popularly known by Liberians in Nigeria, said it was an honor for him to pay homage to the rising Liberian musical kid-star, a release from the Liberian Embassy in Nigeria says.
The dinner in honor of Semah, Ambassador Endee and team took place at the Hotel Ibis Royale, owned and operated by Chief Cliff in Lagos on Monday night, April 2, 2018, the release adds.
Semah and delegation had returned from the Southeastern Nigerian State of Enugu, where he held a joint first-time public performance with Flavour N’bania with whom he has released his first album called ‘Divine’.
The Nigerian business man served as an honorary consul for Liberia during the Gyude Bryant Administration in recognition of his invaluable humanitarian services he rendered thousands of Liberian refugees in Nigeria during the Liberian civil war. He is currently the Protocol Attaché in Lagos for the Abuja-based Liberian Embassy in his continuous support of Liberia and Liberians in Nigeria.
While expressing high level of pride in Semah, Chief Cliff urged the 12 years-old visually impaired Liberian musician to keep his head high up. He also promised to do all in his will to contribute in whatever way possible in helping to build the budding career of the inspirational singer.
The release also quotes Chief Cliff as thanking Ambassador Endee and her strong team of management at the Liberia Crusaders for Peace (LCP) for being “that bridge that connected Semah with Flavour” in helping the former to realize his dream.
“By the way, where and how did you learn my Igbo language that you sing so very well?” he excitedly asked Semah.
“My dad Flavour only says the wordings, and I learn them”, Semah replied.
At the same time, the former Liberian Consul presented what he called a ‘little token’ of one thousand United States dollars to Semah and his team.
In response, Ambassador Endee thanked Chief Cliff for his fine gesture. She also thanked the Nigerian businessman for offering to work with Semah in helping to move his young career forward, the release continues.
Semah then climaxed the dinner-meeting with a freestyle lyrics of ‘Unchangeable God’, one of four new songs he recently featured Flavour, the release, signed by Nat Bayjay, concluded.
